I limp this preflop. None of your aces are suited, and the one-gapper T8s isn't very strong on its own. On the flop, you're obviously betting your aces up only, since you're not going to draw to a T-high flush on a paired board against two opponents. So, yes, bet and fold to a raise.

You can play preflop however you want.

I don't understand why you say you hate this spot... You have an overpair and somebody has at least trips, so you move on. 3 handed this will happen on about 1/3 of flops, which means your bet is still fair, and now you've found out where you're at.

Some of the time, I would suggest checking paired flops, with overpairs, but I would do that less on boards where the turn could straighten somebody out, since you don't want some gutshot to get there that wouldn't have thought twice about folding to a bet.

so: you play it standard and get outflopped, move on.

You should rarely limp on 6 handed tables.

That's probably one of the reasons why i mostly play at the nickel-n-dime level. Coming from NL Holdem, i feel insecure about most of the thinner raises i see people advocating here. At microstakes, i get paid off anyway, so i doesn't matter, but at 25PLO or 50PLO 6-max i lose against raw aggression.

I think it's OK to limp regularly UTG at a 6-max table even if it's not something you should do often from other positions. With a hand like this though, it doesn't really matter much what you do as long as it's part of a consistent overall strategy. It's not a mistake either way.

On the flop, I'd usually just fire for $4. In general, I've gotten into betting less than the pot a lot on paired boards as you get into a lot of tricky C-bet situations like this one where you don't want to invest too much and when you have a hand, keeping the pot small relative to your stack allows for a lot more play on the turn and river where many players will play make large mistakes and badly overplay trips that are drawing either slim or dead.

All comes down to metagame decisions. Raising or limping depends on your opinions of the three people who will have position on you post flop.
