Default Some amusing QB playoff performances

In an attempt to distract myself from football stories on the WR who will not be named this week, I was looking at some stats and came up with an amusing trivia question [or not].

We all know the QB is to blame for all losses and credit for all wins, regardless of O-line play or defense, etc, according to your typical breathless news reporters.

Try to match to the QB below with his worst 3-game stretch of horrid playoff performances, no googling or database checking, pls:

1) Montana
2) Elway
3) Cunningham
4) Kelly
5) Marino
6) Aikman
7) T. Dilfer

a) 1-2, 1 TD, 4 INTs, 50%, 162 ypg
b) 0-3, 2 TD, 7 INTs, 50%, 214 ypg
c) 1-2, 2 TD, 4 INTs, 59%, 178 ypg
d) 0-3, 0 TD, 4 INTs, 52%, 167 ypg [truly Boller-esque]
e) 1-2, 2 TD, 2 INTs, 47%, 175 ypg
f) 1-2, 3 TD, 8 INTs, 55%, 178 ypg [Aaron Brooks wannabe]

Obviously, one QB does not appear on the second list.

No idea whose is whose, but I'm pretty sure Montana is not on that list.

F: is probably Favre. That game against the Rams has to a majority of it.

My guess is Dilfer's the one not on there, because he's randomly thrown in with all the star QBs. His only playoff games were with the Bucs in 98 (i think) and the Ravens in 2000 and he was decent in all the games.

Yup, he had 6 INTs in that game IIRC.

D. is Montana, 85-87, between '84 and '88 SB runs. The '87 game against the Vikings was horrible.

It's interesting to point out that those great QBs had bad playoff stretches, but it's more or less impossible to figure out which games are who's. Those numbers are all similar besides Favre's 8 INT.

I guess nobody noticed Favre isn't on the list (even when he throws a bunch of picks, his yardage totals are usually very high).

I know Kelly had threw 4 picks in the 91 Super Bowl vs. the Skins, and was hurt in the 92 playoffs (the Reich comeback vs HOU) and then crapped the bed again in the SB (before being pulled for Reich), so that's probably one of the stretches.

I just cheated and checked Kelly's stats. He could practically own three of those choices himself. Christ he had some bad playoff games. 20 TDs, 28 INTs career postseason.
