How I get ripped off
I know next to nothing about cars. Everytime I have had a car repair I think I get ripped off, because I have no way of knowing whether or not what they are telling me is really the problem. I think mechanics pick up on this and screw me over accordingly. Anyways I thought it would be cool to list some ways you get ripped off. Or if you screw people over in your line of work how do you do it? |

Re: How I get ripped off
There was an enlightening thread in edf about how people get ripped off in your line of work. I'd post/ask there.

Re: How I get ripped off
I work in advertising, and I rip off clients regularly. I'm expected to bill a certain amount of hours, which I do regardless of whether I actually worked them. Most of them work on retainers, and they're paying for the work anyway, so I don't feel so bad.

Re: How I get ripped off
I just paid $1,600 today to fix a broken seat and sunroof on my girlfriend's Toyota. I'm pretty sure they fire up the assraping machine every time she goes into the dealership alone.
