how much does it cost to fix loose exhaust clamp?

there was a rattling noise from the back of my car, and my friend said it was probably a loose exhaust pipe clamp.

sure enough, i went back there and the right exhaust pipe was moving around a little when i pushed it.

how much does stuff like that cost to fix?

also, i got my engine checked up at 40k miles, and drove it cross country with a small uhaul (load was well under specifications of hitch and car). it's now at 47k miles. do i have to do an engine checkup?

Just duct tape the thing. Use the savings to go robusto at microstakes ldo.

by engine checkup I feel like you mean oil change, and if this is the case, yes. Youre 4k miles overdue. As for the exhaust clamp, its quite possible that you could just fix it yourself.

have them put mobil one synthetic in when they do the oil if youre going to run it 7K miles between oil changes, IMO. As far as the exhaust, if something is rattling on the Subaru u mentioned in the other threads - its not likely to have a 'clamp' that is 'loose' unless its right by the muffler itself - lol at 'how much does that cost' - quite a bit if you take it to the right guy I'm sure

note: automotive forum would come in handy right now

just cut it off at the loose spot. don't need it.

duct tape is ok but the a clothes hanger is the nuts for holding a muffler.

anyway, if you want real advice realize that cars are different. wtf post what you drive.

Go to a muffler place and have them put all new [censored] in, couple hundred and your car will run super smooth.

Is this the same car that might get rims?
