Cant see a fold here in position and aj, raise allin though is unprofitable, and smaller raise is likely to be reraised allin given your reshove last hand, so call looks fine for me. He cant be too happy against bigger stack on flop oop, so youll have easy time raising hes cb or betting after hes check if board looks ok, if you feel like it , or go to turn and see what he does there.

No way. I reshove again. He won't call you with 77 or AQ, imo.

He cant of course, but he only put 600, and if he decides to call you with 99+ and AK you really wouldn't like it. Two subsequent raises, after one of them has been restolen, narrow a range for second raise for me so just compute what is percent that hes holding 99+ or AK in hes raise range, and what are you risking to win only 900 bbs with 4900 and risk your entire tournament here.
Maybe its me but i dont like messing with another big stack in such situation with marginal AJ preflop. Chances to hold 99+ or AK are roughly 4% so he has to raise this more then 16% here so you have good odds on those 900 chips, and i think thats closer to 10% so its like 40% hell call you after your reshove, and crush you with 70% ahead of AJ. From other hand call might induce a bluff from bb sb and hell have to fold having you behind and youll have a great dead money pot call. |

you should still have a ton of FE, but if hes calling you with 99/AQ here you should fold.

Villain was unknown so I can't see him folding AQ or 99 (especially since I just shoved on him) so I think I like my fold.

[/ QUOTE ] he has 34 posts. i think after 30 posts you can start making wise comments to the regulars. i think reshoving pre is a mistake here. stack distribution is really nice for you so no need to gamble here. i think call/fold preflop are both fine. and you can bet the farm that he will call your reshove light. nobody likes to get smacked around the table. AQ 88 type of hands will snap call you. |

A lot of people steal again right after they've been caught stealing. I'm not folding here but I'm torn between calling and shoving. I think if he's unknown and steaming a little, calling is better. With the stacks like this, you'd be surprised how often they just give up on a whiffed flop. Or you can float a weak c-bet and take it down on the turn etc.
You don't get too many chances to play poker in a SNG. Enjoy it. |
