Default what game system was the first to come out with JOYSTICK?

which game system came out with the joystick for the controller first?

PS1 or N64??????? I know N64s original controller came out with the joystick and PS1s did not, but did those come out before N64 ever did???

I thought the joysticks came out with the PS2 but were backwards compatible with PS1, maybe I'm wrong.

read the post.
well, i could be wrong. I thought the op was a question of whether the ps1 or n64 released the controller first, not which was the first of existence.

Space Race on the Atari. Came out right about when Pong did.

OP made a terribly unclear post title. Almostbusto gave the proper answer. "Read the post" only works if the OP gave a somewhat, marginally accurate title to go with the question he's asking.

Q: What game system had a joystick first?
A: Atari.

Doesn't get much more simple than that.

The thread title is misleading, but the text of the post leads me to believe that he's interested in who came out with analog sticks first.

I think the N64 did. The PS1 then launched a new controller that had the dual analog sticks.
