Default How\'s this riverbluff

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (4 handed) pokerhand.org hand converter

Hero ($107.95)
SB ($112.70)
BB ($114.75)
UTG ($265.10)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG raises to $3, Hero calls $3, SB calls $2.50, 1 fold.

Flop: ($10) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($10) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets $5, UTG calls $5, Hero calls $5.

River: ($25) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $15

Obviously they both checked so it's hard to believe they'd have Ax or KQ. Then again, my pattern is fairly consistent with either of those hands. What do you think? I don't have good reads on the villains yet. Which range will I get called here?

I'm not sure I'm loving it to be honest. The UTG raiser might be raising with something like AK, AQ etc but may not be comfortable betting the river with all 5 cards down. At that stage he's probably thinking his Ax has showdown value and I'm thinking thats a reason he perhaps didn't bet the river himself. However, he might well call thinking he's just about good.

Into one player I'd say okay but two, I think you might get someone calling curiously more often than not.

I'd also make it about $18/19.

I'm sure this will work some of the time, but whether it will work enough of the time to be profitable...I'm not convinced.

the way this hand went you will probably get looked up by a J or even a T. And itīs not that unlikely that someone decided his A8 is good on the turn, after the flop got checked around. Also AK,AQ type hands might have decided to take a stab on the turn with a gutshot etc., or call with it in UTGs case. So i donīt like it alot.
Actually, asuming i somehow checked the flop, without the 8 on the flop, i will sometimes raise this turn, wich has a good chance of folding out a T and pocket pairs 55-99 and if you get called and make your flush itīs pretty likely by a strong enough hand to pay you off on the river.

I would rather bet this flop though, this is not the type of board that hitī s an UTG raiser usually and he showed weakness by checking. Also it builds up a pot if you hit and probably gives you a free card if you choose to take it.

Aye, this did take down the pot this time, just wonderin if it's any good. You see I can't win showdowns so I need to hone my bluffin' skillz. (one of the only pots I've ever won in 100nl - down $1600 over last 3.7k hands).

SOMEONE TEACH ME! (I beat 50nl 6+ PTBB/100 over the whole poonuggeting year and i lose -20 PTBB/100 at around same pace).
