Default \"Friends of Full Tilt\"

Hello,

When I look at cardplayer chip count updates, I see guys like Gavin Smith, Huck Seed and Carlos Mortenson chip counts shown in red as "friends of Full Tilt".

Does Full Tilt cover the entry for these friends? I wonder if it is a standard backing deal where they share any revenue.

I am just curious, because it seems like Full Tilt is really sponsoring a ton of people at the WSOP. It must cost them a fortune if they are just sponsoring all these people as opposed to backing them.

Peace,

KennyBanya

My guess would be that it's some sort of minor endorsement. They get more of their gear at the tables, but on name players. Are you more likely to remember seeing Mortenson in a FT jersey, or Internet Schmo #9283 in a FT jersey?

Probably also a gamble on their part, getting their gear on people outside their normal stable with a shot at the final tables, for maximum TV exposure.

Or else it's just some made-up crap to use the words "Full Tilt" more in the CardPlayer updates. 'Cuz you know, they're hardly there at all otherwise.

Fulltilt is becoming the Wal-Mart of poker.

Well, except for the fact that all this endorsing hasn't even made them a top 4 site in traffic (as far as I know, they still arent).

UB is about #7 these days, at least in terms of peak cash game players. Full Tilt sometimes rises to #3.

Here are the top 10 for today, as listed by PokerSiteScout:

1. Party
2. Stars
3. Paradise
4. Full Tilt
5. PokerRoom
6. CryptoLogic
7. UB
8. Pacific
9. Prima
10. Tribeca

If you had adjust it for the same type of traffic for games 5/10 (or 1/2 NL) and above, how do you think the list would change?

It seems like Tilt is definately growing the most over the last few months. I never thought I'd say this, but I think the marketing of the Pros is finally starting to pay off.
