This issue comes up a lot in many threads and the most frequent answer that you`ll see is:
Take some time off.
It is a good advice because quiting for a week or two is used in order to prevent yourself for going on a major tilt that is inevitable after an unusual longish losing streak.
No mater how disciplined you are there is always a breaking point after which you start playing like a crazy-horny-mountain-gorilla and you usually do it at much higher stakes then your bankroll allows for.

That is the only purpose for taking a break because there is not much else you can do about downswings, it`s an integral part of poker.
Other positive thing about taking a break is that you can use some of the time off to read and reread poker books and analyze your game in search for leaks.
There is always something that you can improve on.
Good luck. [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

well in that case. you will be fine i think if you are consulting with another player that is quite experienced then i think that you will be fine. You are just having some down luck. take a day off relax and then just continue playing. everything will be all good

its player dependant how much time to take off. When im a ds and reevaluate I usually see stupid moves i made through tilt and think LDO i dont do much wrong, but im juts really playing bad atm. its a circle running bad causes you to play bad, which causes you to lose more which causes you to play even worse...

usually if i take a day or 2 off im fresh, but for some its weeks i guess.

Take a week off of poker. Don't think or play poker at all during that break.

This is normally a good time to learn a new game. Start at a low level. The money won't mean a lot to you and you will improve very quickly which is very motivating.

I always switch games if i'm running bad at one. If you don't know which one to choose, play Limit Omaha8. Play A2sxx and you are fine at the lowest level
