This hand is probably simple but I'd like some comments on the flop decision.
Grand Sierra Resort (Reno) Pot of Gold 2nd chance $125+25. Starting stacks 2000(40bb's), 30 min levels. 3rd hand of tourney, all unknowns, besides one player I'd played with before that seems good. Everyone got about 2k. Blinds 25-50. Middle-age lady limps UTG+1. Hero limps behind with 10[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Good player limps in CO. SB completes, BB checks. Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] pot-250 UTG+1 bets 100. Hero? Arguments for calling/raising? BTW the play in these in general is similar to any $10-20 mtt on Stars. |

I really don't like this spot, esp after UTG+1 leads weakly into this flop. What hand, other than a FD does this (assuming he/she doesn't totally suck?) This bet seems like a hand that wants to build a pot as this is not the type of board to stab at.
I would like your hand a lot more if the board was AsKsQc. I don't think calling is bad, but raising sucks IMO, since you're only getting action from hands like bigger FD's and JT. I don't think that u can play this hand aggressively - like a 12 out draw b/c as many as 11 of your outs might not be clean. |
