worst bullpen for a championship team
I was just wondering whether anyone can think of a team that won the World Series with a poor, overall bullpen.
Don't they always (at least in the last 15 years or so) have at least one decent setup guy and one fairly reliable closer? |

Re: worst bullpen for a championship team
06 cards? No big weaknesses, but their best reliever only had a 3.12 ERA.
01 Diamondbacks - BH Kim, lol. 03 Marlins only had Uggy for 38 innings. Their closer was (lol) Braden Looper. |

Re: worst bullpen for a championship team
Yeah, but that's not the question. Kim was great that year, he just got worn to the ground by an overzealous manager. They had a decent pen.
06 Cards are the worst WS winning team at pretty much everything so you really need a "besides the 06 Cards". Most decent teams have at least 2 decent relievers, though, so this is kind of a silly question. I can't think of very many WS teams that were terrible at anything, and having less than 2 good relievers definitely qualifies as terrible. |

Kim was pretty good, not what I'd call "great," but he wasn't crap. Looper was bad though.
