Default Send ID to cash out??

I just read a post which said that Everest Poker ask you to send ID if you wish to cash out beyond what you have deposited (as a "standard" thing). I know Mansion Poker do that as well (and that is why I didn't join them).

Now I have yet to cashout at any site where my withdrawal exceeds my deposits but I do intend to do that at some stage soon. But I am worried as I really resent the idea of having to send confidential info to any Tom, Dick and Harry just to get access to my own hard won cash.

Could anyone let me know if any other sites do this "Send your ID if you want your cash" set up?

Thanks in advance.

Now let's just get one thing straight (just for the record). I've cashed out my initial deposit at ALL the dozen or so sites that I've joined (with the exception of Poker Stars); I've just not taken out any profits yet. There - now I feel better.

I wish searching the forums was as super standard as this. Not that I dislike the 5 new posts week on this topic or anything...

It wasn't standard several months ago was fairly rare for a poker site to require this not unheard of but rare.

Think pre neteller going down i had sent id's to one poker site. lots of casinos however.

It depends how you deposited, Bodog always required you send in your ID and bill if you used echeck or credit card to deposit.

Preneteller I had sent in ID's/utility bills to mansion, bodog, party, empire, europoker, stars, and tilt.

I would say it's SUPER STANDARD for me....maybe you need to win more?

(I've had $20K+ on each of those sites)
