Is there a better way to take control of this hand or is it better to call down against an aggressive steal?

Does betting the turn open us up to be bluff raised too much?

I also fold this before the flop.

I think it's fine. pf is a tad loose. I wouldn't fold 97o though so I can't hate too much.

If you're going to play this your line was perfect. But im not defending with 97o. If the river is not a J you should consider leading here.

What's your fold BB to a steal %? I think you have to call with 97o - unless you are throwing it away because he's a good player.

As played, I think throwing in a river bet sometimes can be good here. The pot is big enough and button's range is large enough that it's probably +EV to do it sometimes. But I think your river fold is an okay line as well.

I would tend to bet that turn card more often then c/call. I'd hate to give a free card on the turn, and I don't think this player is raising with a worse hand. When you are raised, you're drawing to 2 outs and can fold.

i think this is probably the right answer. this guy seems to outplay me everytime i get involved with him.

my fold BB to steal is ~50%.

You cure this by not sitting two seats to his left.
