First hand. I have no read on villain.

Flop: (t120) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">BB bets t100</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to t300</font>, BB calls t200.

Um dude, whats up with that flop check raise? I can't think of a worse spot or flop to do that on.

having gotten here this way for no apparent reason at all, you may as well shove and hope he hero calls AdJx.

Yeah, that check raise is terrible. He's easily calling with a high diamond.

i really am never in the camp of fold preflop, fold flop as I like to dissect hands, but I just check fold this flop and don't think much of it. Im lost on river but I probably check and see what he does.

Trying to go for a C/R bluff on a monotone board the first hand of a $100 tournament is way +EV. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

I guess once you get to the river, you might as well throw out a blocker bet for 1/2 of the remaining stacks and hope to get called by Adx, but I almost don't want to comment because you played the flop so bad.

I don't post in the HSMTT forum much (ok not at all) but like to follow along. First of all, I wondered what the flop c/r was for as well.

Secondly, is this a place to check and let him bluff with a high diamond? Or does this play leave us guessing too much if he shoves the river?
