I bluff the river in a 3 bet pot
Villain is 37/12 over a small sample. I'm not long at the table and haven't been 3 betting light. He's not showing too much strength, I think on the river i can represent AK, and get him to fold out a lot of his range, which i think includes a lot of random pairs and draws. Given that he appears donkish, is this bad?

Re: I bluff the river in a 3 bet pot
Checking turn/Betting river rarely works well as a bluff. I think it would be better against a tighter player. It's certainly not bad, just not sure it works too often.

it looks like a good spot, although vs. a villain like this, if he folded you probably had the best hand

After a preflop three bet, donkeys always put you on AK, until such time as they can no longer beat AK then they put you on 22.

Bad players think like this, "The King could have hit him, but I have a pair, I call." Think about it realistically for a second. Look at your range on the river on a board like that. You either have exactly a King or nothing at all. Why shouldn't he call? It really depends what kind of bad player you're against. |
