I think he raises you on turn with 2 pair+ It really looks like a smaller flush here I think. Raise river.

I agree. I think this is a very weird line for him to take with a hand that you're behind. Plus I think this particular player will pay you off with all sorts of stuff if you raise. Bombs away!

sure, since there are so many combos of straights out there. And especially since guys who flop the nuts get really frustrated when they get rivered, they'll call more often

What hands were you afraid of to just call the river? Easy raise, you almost always hear from two pair/set earlier in the hand, and if not for the time he has a flush raising this river is way +EV.
