Default Be careful what you wish for.

This was my second hand at the table so I don't have any reads. (my PT stats are still pretty spotty). The only thing I'd noticed is that he'd been semi liberal about pushing in the money. I justnoticed that the few hands i was waiting for the BB.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

BB ($577.75)
UTG ($95.70)
MP ($32.02)
CO ($209.85)
Button ($238.40)
Hero ($198)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $1.
UTG calls $2, 1 fold, CO calls $2, 1 fold, Hero (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($8) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets $4, BB raises to $10, UTG folds, CO folds, Hero raises to $20, BB calls $10.

Turn: ($48) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $30, BB calls $30.

River: ($108) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $100, Hero calls $100.

Final Pot: $308

edit: I almost never 3bet this flop, I just sort of felt like it would be a good time to mix it up for whatever reason.

You know, I think 3-betting this flop is ok. I like the value, but the only thing to fear is a re-raise, which puts us in a bad situation. Unfortunately, it looks like he has an ace, so there's a 1/3 chance he has it. I think check-calling this river is the best way to play it, but I think you should bet more on the turn since there is a pretty good chance he holds the ace of hearts.

Edit: I'm realizing I'm not thinking well right now, and so if I give some donk advice here, it's because i'm exhausted.

I don't mind the 3-bet but I hate the size, he's not going to fold and you're just putting money in as a dog.

you gotta fold that river. He knows you have the flush, and he doesnt care. He's almost certainly got the ace of hearts. Calling big river bets without the nuts is typically very expensive.

This may be true. I didn't really take note that you have QK of hearts meaning he has at best a ten of hearts other than the obvious ace.

Block the river for $50, only an A is raising and you don't want a random heart to bluff you out.
