Default 2007 Baseball Hall of Fame Veterans Committee Voting

Tomorrow, the Hall of Fame will announce the results of the Veterans Committee voting. If I had a ballot, I would vote for the following three candidates.

Ron Santo: One look at my avatar shows you that I'm not at all without bias in this case, but a review of the statistics makes Santo deserving of inclusion.

Doug Harvey: 31 years behind the plate. The best in the business for the majority of his career. If "The Lord" isn't in the HOF, then no future umpires need apply.

Marvin Miller: Let me get this straight. The Veterans Committee is basically comprised of former players. Marvin Miller organized their union and made players untold billions of dollars in salaries. The players, in past elections, refuse to induct Miller. Short memories there...

Miller is easily one of the ten most important men in the history of Major League Baseball. If that sentence isn't good enough to be enshrined, then the HOF needs to be disbanded.

What about Torre? He has good numbers as a catcher.

Probably, but is he really a better manager than Whitey Herzog?

Ron Santo without a freaking doubt.
This is taking WAY too long to get him in. Should have happened 10+ yrs ago if not earlier.

It's time guys.
somebody wake up the committee and get him in there STAT!

I think it would make more sense if they waited until Santo died like they did with O'Neil.

Ron Santo should have been in on the first ballot.

Yea, but he's not on the ballot as a player/manager. Just as a player.
