Default FTP: \"24/7\" Customer Service

Hi all.
What has your experience been with FTP support?
About a week ago I requested the temporary closure of my account, and was assured that it could be reopened quickly on request.
I requested reopening almost 48 hours ago and have heard nothing back from them.

Given that they gleefully advertise '24/7' customer support all over their site I am finding this pretty irritating. This is bordering on being an actionable misrepresentation.

Anyone having the same problem?

Granted I don't need to use support that often, but two days is a joke. Don't intend to remain a customer at this site. Luckily I am not from the US and have a choice.

I've had excellent experiences with FTP's support. I had a few issues back in the day that were handled by FTPSean and FTPDoug. IMO, it should have had to be that way, but they were extremely helpful.

One negative has been the IronMan freeroll... you cannot change your selection for more medals or freeroll after that month is over. Seems kinda silly to me since I rarely know if I'm going to be busy on a weekend 2 weeks away, but that's about it.

Glad things have worked out well with that site for you.
I personally like to be able to get in contact with a site I am paying to use, if I need to, in something less than TWO full days.

They are fabulous. I had my account hacked and lost like 2k in what appeared to be chip dumping. They said it was legitimate. I asked for HH and 4 months later with over 20 emails.... NOTHING. Who could ask for more?

I mentioned this above, but where I am from, a company can't go around claiming 24/7 customer support (all over their website) and then take days to respond to simple requests.

What exactly do they mean by '24/7'? That their email servers are open 24/7 to recieve email, which might be responded to a couple of days later, or never? Wtf?

Even the deficient partypoker and empire support etc have always got back to me within about 10 hours.

Curious why you needed your acct 'temporarily closed' for a few days.

Fair question: I am at university, and had a lot I needed to get done. Procrastination by way of online poker becomes a huge temptation, so I requested temporary closure so that temptation was further away from my fingertips. Ordinarily would use 'self-exclusion,' but not an option at FTP. FTP seemed to have no problem with this temporary closure, and in fact assured me by email that my account would be 'quickly reopened' on request.
So, Microbob, I am sure you were fishing for evidence of 'dodginess,' but I am clean as a whistle!

their emails are slow, usually over a day, if not 2 days...

and they are starting to be lame cut-n-paste responses just like good old party support...
