No reads, is pounding kings with an ace blocker sound play at PLO 50?

When you see action like this, at PLO50, you usually get aces turned up despite your blocker, or a high quality rundown hand which you aren't really that +EV against like JT98. No real dead money, tread here only if you love to gambool it up IMO.

I hate it and would rather do it with something like 689J single suited.
KKxx (with or without the ace blocker) is a perfect hand to take a cheap flop with, if you have to put too much in to see the flop just muck it. |

This is usually aces, and your hand is trash versus aces. You can see the flop if you have enough behind. Else, muck.

what everyone else says, most of the time you are up against aces and the times you aren't you don't have enough edge to make up for it. Just call the 3 bet, some people might say fold.

Re: PLO 50 - Kings with ace blocker, go all-in preflop?
About the only time this is going to be a profitable play is when the SB is really short and you can push out a bunch of people that cold called your first raise, or if the SB is really pushing it preflop.
Given the SB's stack size, and that you are playing for four relatively unlikely flops (NFD, set, trip 5's, or QJT) you should fold to his first raise if it always means AA. |
