Default 3/6, flopped the nuts and things keep going downhill after that

villian is a somewhat passive player, stats 21/7/1.5 over 380 hands, my own image is 20/18/3 over 60 hands or so, I have raised and folded to 3 bet a few time, and 3 bet a few times myself, nothing really out of line though.

about 20 hands ago, I played this hand with him

If the player is as passive as you say, I think you are missing value in hand one by checking the river.

I think hand 2 is a clear fold although it is hard to make myself do it in the heat of the moment.

Not sure why you check river in Hand 1 but w/e.

This is a very easy fold.

for hand 1, I would think that I only miss some value from TJ/JQ, (I doubt he would flat call PF and then so many times AF with Ks/As), but he could have a higher set quite often here I think. Also I should add that I didn't know he was that passive at the time hand 1 was played, I was thinking c/c might win some money from a missed flush draw

Please bet the river in hand 1, it's not close. Am I crazy for wanting to check the river vs this guy in hand 2 given the other hand? Either way, fold fast to the shove. I think betting the river in hand 2 is wayyyyyy thinner than betting in hand 1 fwiw.
