Default Someone tell me I\'m reading this article wrong

http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/tip-ema....php?utm_id=99

"I played the World Series of Poker* Main Event for the first time in 2006 and like all rookies, I was involved in endless discussions of “The Hypothetical.” You know, it’s the first hand and you’re in the big blind. Five players move all-in. You look down at pocket Aces. What do you do?"

"Experienced players make fun of the rookies’ discomfort, but they ignore the underlying issue at their peril: with a giant stack and a lot of action, a premium hand like pocket Aces can quickly lead to trouble."

i think you're reading it wrong... he's trying to say that AA isn't the nuts postflop and just stacking off with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] on a 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] board isn't best

then why did he say this:

"You know, it’s the first hand and you’re in the big blind. Five players move all-in. You look down at pocket Aces. What do you do?"

"This is why I think there are a lot of times when pocket 5s are better than pocket Aces. In fact, when I get pocket 5s, I may want to be against pocket Aces."

this is such a trivial statement. obv if you flop a set you want to be against an overpair. can i get paid by full tilt to state the obvious?

maybe we'll get lucky and people will start playing 55 like it's AA.

I'm pretty sure you didn't actually read the article, and now you are just spouting off what you imagined it said.

Then basically made fun of the weak players that might fold.

Obviously nothing revolutionary here, but I'd prefer that FTP keep their advice to the fish along these very basic lines, why would you want them to publish deep strategic advice?
