My experience was very similar to this. He glossed over the worst part, which is several hours of sitting on the toilet expelling everything in your digestive track. My advice is to eat very light the day before you start fasting.

another helpful tip.

don't wipe with regular toilet paper during prep....you will rub your ass raw.

use some kind of baby wipe where ever possible.

the worst thing to me was the STARVING the night before...damn i was hungry.;

the doctors and nurses failed to tell me to 'rip the farts' in fact they were never mentioned at all.

even though i was in a slight haze..i do still remember leaving a skid mark in my boxers when i let one rip in the car on the ride home. (semi shart. more like a squart)

i squirted something out...brown and liquid...only about a single blast from a cheap squirt gun worth.

i've wondered if it was some kind of lube or something as the night before i was crapping liquid clear enough you'd think it was water if you didn't know better...and i'd eaten nothing (and drank only water)

on a side note. my old boss was kind of a big guy. about 3 years ago; he was going in for a colonoscopy the following morning...so I was asking him how if he was drinking all the 'purging' stuff. when he said he wasn't going to take it i said "isn't that gonna get kind of messy?"

his response : "that's not my problem, its the doctor's problem"
