Default Converting WMA to MP3

Searched the forums for this and got nothing.

Is there a program out there that does a one-step WMA-to-MP3 conversion?

My problem is that I have a bunch of music in WMA format that I can't play on my iPod. I don't like to use iTunes for my music and have resisted importing my 400GB music collection (a good chunk of which is WMA) to AAC.

Is there a better option than this for someone who doesn't use iTunes for playing music or loading their iPod??

You should be able to set itunes to convert to mp3 instead of AAC.

Go to preferences-->Advanced-->import

Set it to MP3 at a decent bitrate.

Try importing a WMA song.

Make sure it became an mp3, then do the rest.

You might take a look at Google, but there is a ton of responses. What are you using for a player now? It might do conversions as well.

Easiest way is probably just going to be iTunes, what don't you like about it?

Sorry, I think every OOT mod gets this response at some point. Are you looking to just run a script that converts all your wma into mp3 at once?

DBPowerAmp has always been my favorite, mainly because it is free and I am lazy (it has right-click support).

Don't forget to download the additional codecs.

I'm a big fan of audacity mainly b/c it's open source but it doesn't support proprietary formats like wma.
