200PS: Set in trouble?
Me and villain have been clashing a bit. He is pretty aggro, and I have not figuered out if he's aggro in a good way or not. Some hands ago I won a 700$ pot where I almost folded the river with a non-nut FH, but then I saw that I was getting almost 5-1, and I said 'lol' and called and won against his overplayed straight. He blamed me for slowrolling. He's been loose and aggressive, as said, and so have I, perhaps a little more passive than him.

If he's agro and loose, you can 3-bet the turn.

Really? Isn't this the nuts very often? As played, do you call the river?

Re: 200PS: Set in trouble?
well it could be, but it's not that likely he checked the nuts twice here. It doesn't look like hero has very much, so this is a good spot for an aggro guy to checkraise you with not very much/air/some kind of weak draw. A lower set is also possible.
As played I call, if he is bluffing he will surely fire again on a blank. |

Re: 200PS: Set in trouble?
You mean that LAG villian actually checked 98xx for the nuts twice on this board? Sometime he has to protect his hand from clubs, the board pairing, and the higher straight draws out there. If you checked behind on turn and he has 98, there are about 20-25 cards that can hit that he won't like to see.
I say he's making a move w/ QJTx (or some combo draw) so as played, I'd pay off on the river - your line looks like you could have just a draw too. |
