When does google find my page?

Afaik google operates with the spider search system (meaning they run robots "clicking around in the web" and file the sites they find.

But how does google find pages that arent linked to from somewhere?

Will my page ever be found if noone has a link to it?

If you don't submit it to google, and don't have a link to it then no it won't be found.

If you have an adsense id just put a banner on your page for a little bit. That will force it to be spidered.

Even if Google "finds" your site, so to speak, you won't get in the index without links from outside sources. Get good content and/or submit to directories. It takes time to build links, so be patient.

so how could you make a site about something that is in the news right now and get people to find it (quickly) ?

Just post comments on related blogs don't pay for advertising just to get indexed that's ridiculous. Make a few ad's on craigslists, post ona few forums.

This isn't very hard.

I didnt mean to advertise cause I want it listed on google. Well, kindo , different.

Imagine you have a site about something thats in the news, like politics. And you want people to know about this before a certain date (like elections).


Whats the best way to do it?

If your site is a blog, submit the information to various blog search engines like Technorati. Also set up a Digg account and submit your stuff so others can Digg it if they think it's worth it.
