Is this ever not the nuts?
49/9/1.1 over 43. Didn't seem too aggressive, if he pussychecks the flop with a pocket pair I'd expect him to calldown. So... does AK ever play like this?

If you are asking what to do with 88 in this spot I am pretty sure I check behind. By the river I berate him in the chat when he shows me AA and I go watch reruns of "Sex and the City" with my girlfriend when he shows me 77 or AK.

I seriously insta check behind 88 here figuring I only miss value from the times he does have AK (rarely) or is tilt/spewing away money with KK or just crap (less rarely). He doesnt have 77

A8 or better I bet the turn, otherwise I just check behind and call on the river, with a set of 8s I like him to c/r but would probably call down after that... If he had bet out on the turn, I would raise and only be scared of AA if he 3 bets. your read is only a few hands, but anyone who has a 49vpip is a monkey in my book until proven otherwise so I would push my edges, and second set is good enough I believe to show a profit here.
