50NL: Get your nits out
Villain 21/17, 130 hands. So almost certainly not a drooler.
Hero playing fairly nitty TAG. My read was that I was telling villain my hand, and he didn't care. Basically, in order to continue I have to believe this 21/17 is either on air, a worse K or is playing a FD very aggressively (and please note I have the Ah). Fold, call, push, raise? Thanks. ................................................ AF? I'd probably call it and lead the turn with a donkish 1/4 pot bet just to see villain's reaction. Chances of him simply 3-betting your c-bet are pretty big as well so it's a tough spot. I'm thinking AK split or simply playing back with air, perhaps KQ [/ QUOTE ] you have terminology and position all wrong.... |

Re: 50NL: Get your nits out
Call and I'm calling the turn too, maybe fold if a [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] hits and you don't have implied odds to call with the NFD.
You having the Ace:hearts: makes it less likely that he has a flush draw, but I'm not giving him credit for a set before the river. |

I'd probably reraise here, you havn't defined your hand as clearly as you think; a raise and cbet can be just about any two.

a raise and cbet can be just about any two. [/ QUOTE ] This is correct, but the problem is that rr'ing defines our hand very well and only gets action from hands that beat us, and calling puts us in really hard spots on the turn and river. FWIW hands like this are what I hate the most. |

Re: 50NL: Get your nits out
I'm confused by the fold. I either call and if a non heart hits I'm probably shoving. IMO his range is most likely a flush draw, or even something like KQh is my best guesstimate.
maybe I'm just a donk and can't see folding TP/TK because of a check raise. my stats are similar to his and depending on your image I would do this with air 20 percent of the time, a worse king 30 percent of the time, and a flush draw the rest. |

Re: 50NL: Get your nits out
Maybe I'm too laggy here, but I really REALLY dislike folding the flop. Ok, we raise and CB. That's really a HUGE range here. Heads up, could be 22+, KJo +, no?
That said, I HATE raising here as well, but not as much as folding. By 3-betting, you turn your hand into AK, KK or AA and that makes it far too easy on villain. We have position so use it! Call, which is MUCH MUCH STRONGER that pushing, here. Because by calling, we are forcing villain to bet the turn, even on non-scary cards (read: non-hearts) and puts all the pressure on him as we very well COULD have AK, KK or AA here. By calling we are best using our position, as well we should, with as much behind as we do ($43). All this said, I call, in position and am either betting or raising the turn, depending on what villain does. |
