$6.5 - AA first hand, play on this flop?
not sure what to do after the check raise, I had a feeling I was beat by set or two pair but this could also be a draw or many other things too....

No need to over think this one. Just get your chips in, if you bust so be it. Too low of a level to make this kind of a fold.

I see AQ or flush draws here too often to fold it. Rarely someone will wake up with a set. When that happens, just laugh it off and move on to your next table.

Re: $6.5 - AA first hand, play on this flop?
The odds of someone having a set here are very low. Most often you'll be looking at a flush draw, esp. at this level, players chase those so hard and so aggressively it's ridiculous. Get it in.

Re: $6.5 - AA first hand, play on this flop?
Preflop is fine.
Bet more on the flop - there are two big draws and two opponents. At this level they'll pay plenty if they have anything to call with and you have no reason to think you're behind already. The c/r is plenty of things on this flop. 55 or 99 are very possible with the limp-call preflop but so are hands like JcTc/AcKc/KK/AQ/JJ/TT etc. You'd have to have a killer read to fold here. |

You seem to have forgotten the possibility of two pair, and CO could be slow playing a hand that beats you. I used to call this - I don't now.

[/ QUOTE ] I haven't forgotten it - I just don't think it's likely that they open limped and called a raise with Q9/Q5/95 preflop. Q9 maybe. If he's that bad he's probably making this move with a bunch of Qx/A9/A5/underpair hands so it doesn't change the answer much. |

Re: $6.5 - AA first hand, play on this flop?
ok, was just checking. I did call and villian had the Q9. I just felt like I was beat but I do know this could be so many different things at the $6.5's. For instance the CO also called with JT.....
