1. Well some people do. I guess. I don't.
2. I hear they suck
3. 6K

The rest of them are complicated and I'm lazy. Essentially, the later your position the more you should raise. The higher the pair the more you should raise. The less limpers the more you should raise.

You don't have a good bankroll if you have to move down limits when you hit a down streak.

1,000 big bets doesn't guarantee that you will never go broke, either. at some point you have to trade off risk of ruin against rate of return. for me, 500BB is closer to the optimal tradeoff than 1,000BB.

Agreed. If you lose 1000 BB, something is wrong with your game, period. Even if you lose 500 BB, you should not be chalking it up to "variance". In an economist's terms, the marginal benefits to your winrate exceed the marginal costs of your variance at the point at which you can call a 500-BB downswing "variance". They also obliterate any confidence you may have in that marginal benefit, so I really don't see the point.

Since 6-max is still developing, there's some dissent about win-rates and variance. I believe that both the win-rate and variance can be higher, but that writing off a huge swing in this game to variance is still a little facile. It's still possible to be too aggressive, too loose, even in 6-max. We are not immune to our opponents' errors.

Seriously, suggesting that one needs more than three times the bankroll for 6-max that one needs for full-ring is excessive.
