live 3/6, those marginal BB hands...
Hero dealt Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in the BB. 3 limpers, SB completes, Hero checks.
Flop [3.7 SB]: Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Aggressive SB bets, Hero raises. One fold, MP2 calls, BN calls, SB calls. Turn [5.8 BB]: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB bets, Hero calls, MP2 calls, BN calls. River [9.8 BB]: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB bets, Hero folds.... Raise the turn again? Call flop/raise a non-heart/non-9 turn? Call river as played? I was so lost on the turn and river here... |

I think I play it the same. But I don't like it.
I'd like to hear other opinions. |

I think fold to the donk bet on the turn. SB may have just hit two pair or a bigger hand, and there are a ton of draws out.

Yea, I kinda like raising the turn. That would be the last $ I put into the pot though (unless the straight came in.)

You've got a couple good 10 outs and a couple Q/two pair outs so I think a fold in this pot is bad. Plus he said SB was agressive. I think I like the raise the turn/no more money in the pot. Except, if the flush doesn't come through and it gets checked to you on the river, if you check somebody could easily take a shot at it and I think you have to call one bet on the river. Tough hand. |

Re: live 3/6, those marginal BB hands...
Raising the turn as the last bets you put in is bad because the villain is aggressive and you may have tons of outs against his wide range of two pair hands(Q7, 97, 87). Also, the pot will be nearly 11BB(assuming both players fold, not a guarantee if they have draws) when it gets back to you so you have odds to call for your straight.
My decision on the river is heavily read dependent HU, but an easy fold with players to act and the flush draw coming in. Call the turn. Fold the river. |
