KK OOP on an A high flop - fire second barrel?
From tonight's FTP 30R (not literally a HSMTT but villian is sporting a FTOPS jersey and Rizen is behind him so the thought quality should be there).
Been at the table for about 20 hands, this orbit I put in a raise of 680 OTB and took the pot, 2 hands later in HJ put in same raise and got repopped by Rizen and folded, this is 3 hands later. Where's the FTP converter BTW?? Do you fire a second barrel? If so how much? River plan if called? Re: KK OOP on an A high flop - fire second barrel?
As Bakes says - your default for an Ace high board with QQ - KK OOP should be to check and provide him with an opportunity to bluff - calling one or two barrells depending on the opponent; overall board texture; and betsizes. Sometimes you may go for some value on later streets yourself.
The worst thing you can do OOP is continuation bet as you have turned some very decent showdown value into a bluff. Just check now. Probably have to fold most of the time aswell. But you created the problem for yourself by leading the flop. |
