Default I get tricky and pay for it vs. regular

Villain is pizza_midge, who's a 2+2er. I have his stats as 23/18/3. We've played together a decent amount, but we don't seem to go at it with each other too often. I believe I may have butchered this hand. Should I have led on the turn? Comments on all streets please.

how about leading the flop? you have the highest pair with the highest kicker on the board after all.

Horrible turn to c/c. Bet the flop, bet the turn, and bet the river.

As played c/f river.

Yes, you should. But you should have lead the flop as well, this isn't a spot to get tricky in imo.

You botched the hand pretty good, but you already know this. As you played it, I would call river Vs most players.

But, I would almost never do this anyways, since I value bet the river here.

No need to get this tricky on this type of board.
As played on flop and turn I would valuebet the river as your line looks strange and he might look you up light.
Given you didn't bet the river I think river decision is pretty close. QJ, JT certainly is a large part of his river betting range.
