I read on the trop web site about getting a poker rate for 4 hrs of play - $89 + tax for Friday night. Does any one know if the 4 hours can be split by 2 (or more) people staying in the same room? I was told this is done by rooms in vegas.

Never heard of this. Call or e-mail Melanie Reid. Her contact info is on the website.

Unlikely this would be allowed in AC, however the picture on your trop card is so small that no one is going to look or care if you are using someone else's card.

I had emailed Melanie Reid last Wed but have not recieved a reply. Realistically, I don't see 4hrs min as being a problem unless I do very very well in both of the 2 tourneys we plan to play in.

Melanie is awesome and will hook you up if you ask nicely.
The first time I went to the Trop I got her to guarantee the poker room rate regardless of how many hours I played. I think I played 4 anyway but it was nice not to have to worry aobut it. |

Tournaments don't count towards the hours of play to get the rate. Only Cash games. Your card will be scanned once per hour by staff. You can't split it up between multiple people, one card has to have at least 4 hours on it. Melanie will help you, she is great.
