aejones (Can I exile a poster that is ruining my forum?)

So this is essentially it. He has come in and his arrogance and condescending attitude is rubbing off on everyone else. He hasn't broken any real rules, but is single handedly ruining my forum. Can I exile him for this? Or do I need to find an offense?

If he's ruining the experience for other posters, that's an offense.

It sounds like the catch-all term 'trolling' to me.

I would warn him that he is on thin ice in terms of your forum and that he needs to tone it down a notch. If he ignores you I see no problem with tempbanning for a few days.

My understanding is that the only forum that can do exiles is OOT. I have asked a few times about exiling posters form bbv as opposed to the much harsher tempbans/bans.

Obviously you have become more visible in the MTTc forum lately. However, with this visibility I have only seen problems. You have had other transgressions in this forum in the past and I looked past them and let you keep posting. However, I am making a judgment call here and giving you your last warning. Any more trolling/flaming/berating will result in your being exiled from MTTc. My reasoning is that essentially you have made it abundantly clear that you cannot post without berating and insulting others. You may call it the truth, however, it is a very mean spirited and malicious version of it.

What exactly does exile mean?
Well it is simple. If you post in MTTc on your name or any other created name you will be banned from 2+2 all together. Thank you.

Can I get a clarification on this from the reds? Are we now allowing exiles in certain cases from our forums?

It has to be set up per forum. If there is good enough cause Ryan will do this. BBV might be a good candidate. The strat forums, no. if people can't behave in a serious forum, they needn't be here at all.
