i probably check the turn, a solid tag pretty much always has 88 here i think.

doesn't matter if he's betting we need to call i think in which case i'd just bet myself and hope we can get a call from something that would have checked like a weaker K or A8 or something.

i think most solid TAG-like players are going to raise with a better hand...You have 98 left and any bet is going to commit you...I check and hope for a free showdown...if he's allin, ...i don't see how to get away especially if he may be holding the same hand

Hi,

By the river, I would put him on AA, AK, KK, KQ, 88, or 33.

The flopcall would make me worry, as the board is so dry: a drawing hand is out of the question. This leaves an overpair or a set. Probably not a smaller king (KQ) as personnaly, if I were villain, I would have reraised with KQ to see where I was.

The turn changes nothing: hands we beat on the flop we still beat and vv. Now I would try to control the pot: a smaller bet or probably a check. Two sayings come to mind: 'Don't go broke on one pair' and 'small hands, small pots. big hands, big pots'.

The river is another blank. I would be happy to check it down against a solid villain, as I think we're beat badly. After our check, he probably bets for the rest of our stack.
I would not call that.
A blocking bet on the river will probably be reraised for the rest of our stack: same situation as if we checked, except we've put more money into the pot.

Again, I would have checked the turn.

J.

Villain definately has 88 here. Cold call on the flop totally gave it away on such a dry board. Only other option may be the same hand as you. I don't see a TAG calling with a weaker K. I would have been looking to check it down if possible after that flop call or at the very least, a smaller blocking bets for pot control. On the river, as played, you have no choice but to push and hope for a weaker K or a possible out of line QQ maybe? I'm having trouble putting him on anything you beat.

With all that action I'd probably c/f turn.

But as played I'd push river.
