Default Should i drop down a limit?

I have been playing $25NL for about 40k hands. I am winning overall at 2.5ptbb/100. Over the last 15k i am 6ptbb/100. I have had some pretty big swings during this period and I won't blame it on variance as i know I have made plenty of mistakes. I can easily account for 2 buyins of money in bad plays in the last 2 days. Should i consider dropping down to $10NL and playing there? Will this have any effect (my bankroll is fine for $25). I am running around 20/13/2.7, what range is optimal for $25NL?

I'm working really hard to try to get better, reading the threads constantly, reading books etc. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like you shouldn't drop down. You are aware of the problems and you are still winning bigger than most players at your level.
I'd say keep playing and make sure to focus on every decision you make. Before clicking on any button make sure you went through a certain routine (unless it's a really trivial decision but even then it can't hurt). Something along the lines of
1) Look at opponents stats, look at the stats relevant for the dicision at hand (i.e. "folds to cbet" if you cbet)
2) Think about the last couple of hands played at the table. What's your image, what's villains mental state. How does it influence the decision
3) Assign a range to villain and go through the previous streets and see for what kind of holdings it makes sense
4) Look at both stacks, actively think about betsizing
= avoid robotic play and should also avoid typical mistakes like just spew by shoving when a call would be fine etc

You have no need to move down, you're stats look fine. Take a few days off.

I'm in a similar position to you except over a bit less hands. I'm still easily rolled for 25nl (was roller for 50NL at one point) but I have spewed so many hands its not funny.

As long as you realise you're making those mistakes you can still work on them. You're not going to improve your game much more at 10NL, and basically to win as much as you are now (2.5PTBB) you'd have to be earning 7.5PTBB, in which case you'd be killing it and would have to move up.

Just stay at 25NL and work on your game.

Your winning and getting better, ride the variance train.
only if my confidence is shattered/I've lost 25 BI/on supernova ninja tilt I'll move down.

Drop down to NL10 aftr this statement? Hell no.
Work on your game at NL25, collect rakeback, and you will get through the variance. If your playing bad along with running bad, take a break, it does help. Dont force yourself to grind if your not playing well.

Playing NL10 isn't going to help you win money at NL25. You should be playing as high as your bankroll allows.

Is there any benefit to cardrunners at this level? I have watched some of the videos here and I am always looking for more. I think i am taking off until monday. I have always been pretty good at taking a break and clearing my mind when I am making mistakes.

Thanks for all of the replies.
