Re: 60: open folding mid pairs in mid levels with 20 bbs
I just fold too. With stacks I'd say open w/ ~ 77+ (only 88 if we were shorter). I'd raise 55 in the CO and maybe CO+1. I guess we are CO+1 so a raise is fine but I don't think folding is bad.

I fold too. There is no value here with 55.

Re: 60: open folding mid pairs in mid levels with 20 bbs
Well.
1. pushing is -EV 2. raising 375 If CO, Btn, BB push you have to call and are probably in a good situation to lose 1000-1300 chips most of the time. + winning 1000 chips is good but not great here. If SB push / reraise, you fold. If someone call, same situation than a push vs worse stacks (except sometime you only lose your raise (375). If SB calls you will probably lose or win a small pot. 3. limp You will have to fold to any probable raise, you don't have the impleid odds for a set (except vs SB) and your hand does not play well post flop. 4. fold Profit ! |

Re: 60: open folding mid pairs in mid levels with 20 bbs
I fold mid pairs a lot in the mid stages just because i feel like they are so hard to play with shallow stacks. I hate all the possible outcomes besides getting called and i flop a set, which happens not so often.
