New OBL video foil for building anti-war movement?
If you haven't read the transcript, see abcnews.com or another reliable source. Anyway...
Ron Paul got half the building cheering in New Hampshire. "Crap," say the neocons, "this might be getting out of hand." So what do they do? They release a new OBL tape shortly after which uses some of the exact same talking points as Ron Paul and other anti-war candidates. Is it not odd that OBL alledgedly uses the word "neoconservative?" Genius, as now the word is equated with extremist Islamic hate labeling. Whenever Ron Paul speaks up, they can simply say in response- "sir, you are echoing the message of OBL." Brilliant, in my opinion, and scary. |

His last tape was released a week before the '04 election. It seems the current and Bin Laden use each other very effectively. Maybe next video Bin Laden will personally endorse Dr. Paul for President.

Do you really think the OBL tape is a concoction of American Politicians....or are you just employing some really ridiculous hyperbole?

At the end Scheuer, the one mentioned in the Bin Laden tapes, says Paul and Kucinich are the only presidential candidates who are not "marching to Osama Bin Laden's drum". |

Re: New OBL video foil for building anti-war movement?
From what I remember hearing about OBL from actual journalists instead of political hacks, pretty much everything OBL does is a huge level. He wants to pick a fight with the US so that when we start blowing stuff up, the Middle East becomes radicalized and he hopes that means the governments will become fundamentalist. With Moqtada Al-Sarr, Hamas, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Hezbollah, etc, this is exactly what is happening.
OBL is much better at strategery than the White House. |

As the U.S. gets deeper into the Middle East it will be harder and harder for the secular reprobates in power in Egypt, Jordan etc... to maintain control as their power is largely a result of being backed by the U.S. who is becoming increasingly more unpopular. There was a good article, I think in the New Yorker which was pretty much to this effect. It was pretty scary actually. If i remember correctly it implied that the violent salafist movemnt is going to become more widespread and less centralized which is almost worse then if UBL and Al Qaeda are running the show. That's whats happening with the Mehdi army in Iraq, and they are becoming harder to deal with as they bocome decentralized. |
