Quick Resolution Question
I can't find this info on the Dell website, and I've spent half of the last week talking to Dell support so I don't wanna call back.
Anyways I purchased a Dell Inspiron 9400 laptop thinking it would have 1920*1200 resolution. I only got the basic 17" Wide Screen XGA+ Display with TrueLife, and didn't upgrade to the 17 inch UltraSharp™ Wide Screen UXGA Display with TrueLife. I now can't seem to change my setttings to get 1920*1200 resolution. Did I have to upgrade to the UltraSharp UXGA to do this? And if so, is there anything I can do now that I've already purchased the computer ie. any software I can purchae? Thanks very much in advance. |

Re: Quick Resolution Question
You can look here to see what the display names convert to in resolutions. Wikipidia Resolution Picture.
The resolution of the screen isn't software dependent, that is, you can't get software that will make a XGA monitor look like a UXGA monitor. If the purchase is new you may be able to call support and complain that you didn't get what you thought were getting but you are probably out of luck. |
