Default Best 3-person band

Has this been done? I don't know why, but I was thinking about this on my drive home today. Who would you say?

My choice would probably be Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble before they added the keyboard.

no contest - finest three performers in the world - all Rush had was a good drummer. - and [censored] music compared to the compositions of the police.

That's just funny. On many levels. It's right up there with being a member of the radiohead fan club.
