skipping the value raise on the flop
6/12 at Borgata, passive, somewhat loose.
3 limpers, I limp in CO w/ Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], button calls. 6 players, 6.5SB. flop J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB bets and gets 3 callers. I call. I have only Button to protect my hand from. In order to have value in the raise I have to have the best hand right now. If I don't have the best hand, I have very small equity given all the draws out there and very few cards can help me. Seems like half the deck is bad, so I wait for the turn. I believe this situation is similar to playing overpair in SSHE. Ed recommends raising for value w/AA, but to wait for the turn w/TT overpair on a low draw flop that has been bet into and got lots of callers. |
