sprint pcs, used phones

anyone have sprint and know anything about buying a used phone? most info I've found googling seems somewhat sketchy.

long story short, I lost my phone and need to get a new one, however I want the option of switching to an iphone in a few months so I don't want to sign a contract. cheapest phone in the sprint store is ~250, which is too much to pay for a phone I'm going to use for ~3 months.

I talked to cingular and they said def wait until the iphone comes out to switch.

Just call in the phone HEX# so you know it isn't reported stolen, then you won't be able to activate it and the store won't do anything for you. I used to work there lol.

i've got a phone you can have but it might only be verizon compatible, i dunno.

AFAIK unless the FCC finally released all CDMA devices Verizon phones only work with Verizon, etc. Goto the Sprint store, yell and complain and make them give you a refurbished phone for $30 or something. That's fairly standard if you make a big enough scene.

I thought the iphone was only going to be cingular? Sweet I have sprint, iphone are awesome looking.
