I doubt he ever folds any PP or piece of the flop when you bet. He might call with AQ. So, since no better hands fold and few worse hands call I like to check the flop. Against this guy, I might CRAI since that gets us FE against PPs while still having OK equity if he calls since we almost always have 6 clean outs twice.

hmm, it feels though that I have a good chance to make him fold the flop. Ok maybe not against this opponent so maybe thats why I should just check/fold here..
It's very annoying to give up to an aggro opponent who will often bet when I check to him.

Who said anything about check-folding?

And why is it annoying that your opponent will often bet this flop if you check? You are ahead of his range preflop and you will often be ahead of his betting range on this flop.

well if I check this flop and he bets ~35, I can't see myself calling that bet.

You shouldn't unless you have a strong read on his turn play.

Check/fold is fine

Who said you would call that bet? CR it to whatever amount you feel gives you the most FE against this guy (and call a push).

This is fine on occasion but the usual line has to be c/f
