The first week is brutal for most people, headaches, low energy, difficulty concentrating, etc. After that your body adjusts pretty well. If you're also working out, it's aomething of an issue, but there are various ways around that like the cyclical ketogenic diets, or just popping Sweet Tarts or Smarties before workouts. Do a search on "Lyle McDonald" if you're going to try it.

people react differntly...just remember it takes some time for your body to adjust to a new diet, especially if its very different than you are used to...so if you decide to go low carb and have no energy after a couple days, don't give up, give it some time, at least a month i would say...

I've never done really low carb, like Atkins. I do eat reduced carb, say average 100 per day, and find I have more energy.

I went on a low carb diet a couple years ago and was doing well for about 3 months. But when I started riding my bicycle again I found that I couldn't do any extended efforts. Gotta have the carbs for the energy. Of course I started eatin carbs again and then quit riding the bike.....

Most articles will recommend making sure that if you are on a low carb diet that you save your carbs for before and after your workouts. That will keep your workouts solid while still on low carbs

Start smoking. It's hard in the beginning (headaches, cough) but after a few weeks, you can breath almost normally.... So it's good!

He never advocated a low-carb diet. He just answered some questions- which is far more than you've done.

a lot of plans dont count the carbs coming from green veggies like spinach or brocolli, its mostly fiber and super low cal...see CT's article on t-nation.com from today...

also, you can easiliy get lower by removing fruit or limiting it to one piece per day...no starches will do it too...
