You do know that Walmarts will have PS3 on Friday right?

Stay all night at Best Buy if you want. I've got a line on several Walmarts that have the PS3 available Friday morning. A couple of phone calls confirmed this.

The 24 hour stores yes, 'old' Walmarts have them in the morning when the doors open.

I went by my hometown Walmart last night, and although it was closed they did post a sign that they weren't expecting to receive 10. they may only have 5. I'll have to check later today.

I just came back from Best Buy, which is located at a shopping mall, and the manager told me that they will not permit people to camp out over night. They will start lining people up at 6:30. But I do find this hard to believe.

At my best buy, we were told to encourage people not to line up till thursday but if they do we aren't going to stop them.

Can someone tell me the mechanics of how this will work? I mean say there are 100 people lined up starting Thursday morning at 9 AM for a Friday midnight launch. At what point does the store come and say - all right we only have 20 - or 10 or whatever - here's the tickets for those people.

For those that care, there is a partial list of BB store numbers with the # of units they expect to get. Keep in mind not all stores are listed, as the person who leaked the info only got the info for the stores that ppl posted in another thread, but this gives you a good idea on the numbers you can expect. Also keep in mind these numbers are before the rumors of there only being 200,000 units for the US launch.
