2nd level of the ME. i limp with AK CLUBS. Ralph Perry is on the button. he has raised last 3 times on the button when there were 2 or more limpers in the pot. he raises to 1200 blinds 100/200. i reraise to 3k. thinking i may take it down. he calls, flop comes KKQ (rainbow) i bet 5k on the flop. RP pauses then smooth calls... what do u do.

Turn ace. Get it all in...
Seriously, how deep were you and Ralph? I'd be really concerned about his call as he's got to put AQ/AK, AA, KK or QQ as the big part of your range. So what would he call with? JTs? Jacks? Aces, AK? Or KQ, QQ? You are probably ahead, but... |

You have trip kings with an ace kicker, a 16k pot, and 13k left. You ain't folding, that's for sure. If Ralph was aggressive and you could be sure he'd take a check as a sign of weakness, I'd checkraise allin. Otherwise it's just an instant push. Checking to the river to try to provoke a bluff seems risky when you can take a big pot right now and your hand is still vulnerable...

well, you're not check/folding unless you're superman, so may as well check/call.

[ QUOTE ]
So I kind of hate preflop [/ QUOTE ] care to explain why? if the guy has been raising the button consistantly...why not l/rr? the only part i don't like about it is if you airball a flop after l/rr (luckily op smashed flop) is perry really crazy enough to float this flop to a l/rr.... i don't know how op can get out of this hand w/ 16k in pot and 13k behind....i think check/call allin or check/jam on the turn is ok though. |

limp reraising from 1200 to 3000 this deep is really, really terrible
OP also doesn't tell us anything about his position or the other number of people in the pot frankly I think PF is the most interesting decision fo this hand by far |
