50NL to raise on river and what amount?
And what to do if reraised? These spots are difficult for me and I often take the wussy way of just calling even with a hand like this and I often don't have the ability to fold to a reraise and I know I am missing out on $$$ by doing this.
Party Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.25/$0.50 5 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $58.63 CO: $44.60 Hero: $56.70 SB: $82.25 BB: $43.47 Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is Button with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG calls, CO calls, Hero calls, SB folds, BB checks. Re: 50NL to raise on river and what amount?
I don't think this is a bad spot to flat call. It seems pretty weak, but most likely, with this board, the only hand calling a reraise is a straight - and there are two other (though unlikely) straights that beat you. By calling here, you can possibly get an overcall from UTG. But man, why are you playing this hand so passively at the flop and turn?? You flopped a pair w/an OESFD - this is a monster. I am raising the flop 95% of the time here, and betting the turn always.
This is a board where you need to build a pot IMO! |

Bet the turn... But as played, I'm raising to $10 [/ QUOTE ] I would like to raise here, but do you really think any hand calls his raise (to 10 or whatever) that is not a straight? Is there more value in calling and allowing an overcall to come in? I guess this depends alot on the villain. If the villain is a station Lippy's line is probably correct. Otherwise, a flat call might be more profitable |

How about raising 1.5 preflop?
