Default Elizabeths - the golden age

Commerce 9/18

4 players limp to me in the BB, and I take it upstairs with QQ, even though Mason Malmuth says it is best to check here.

Retarded, spazzy Utg+1 player 3 bets out of turn, so UTG folds. MP calls. button fishcaps it.

Flop is 357 2 clubs. I lead (?)
UTG calls, because his cards are bigger than that flop. MP calls, because he has 2 cards. Button raises. I 3 bet it for value, and also because UTG+1 is really smug/dumb/bad and will make a "smart" fold here with his AK or w/e.

CO calls. Button calls.

Turn is K. I lead. CO calls. Button calls.

river is a 5, so any 4 makes a straight. I lead. CO thinks forever and calls, which means his hand is no good vs. me. Button raises with his hand shaking a little. He stacks his chips 3, 4, and 5 instead of 4, 4, and 4. He is a reg and shouldn't make that mistake too often.

I fold.

No. I think you beat just enough hands to call and no one is ever betting something you beat. It's going to cost you one bet all the time anyway, so I think you should make sure it doesn't get checked around.

lol. Basically, if it is 3 bet PF, a limper will often cap it with anything. I don't really know WHY they do this. Mikel calls it "the random commerce cap." I call it "the fishcap"

If you ask these people why they do it, they might say "well, it's gonna get capped anyway" or they will say "build a big pot"
Sometimes they say "just in case"

I suspect what is actually happening is that they are mad about having to pay so much, and their form of revenge is to charge themselves extra. I mean, it makes no sense, but nothing in live poker makes any sense. Get with it, dude.

Looks good to me. b/f > c/c on the river.

Elizabeths = two queens
The golden age is the new queen elizabeth movie. It's about going to war when vastly outnumbered in very scary circumstances.

Also, there is a storm that wrecks to spanish armada that the english were able to cash in on. I like to think of myself playing poker as "going into the storm" and figuring out a way to come out alive. Limit hold em: srs biz
