Push? Too much to call for set value, and if you raise you're committed.

With the way I've played lately tho, the opposite of my advice is prob best.

either shove or raise to 3750 and shove almost any flop.

i prefer a shove since you can increase your stack by 20% and because this is a really tough hand to play OOP and also because you can get called by a lot of worse hands in what looks like an obvious squeeze situation.

calling is bad because there is too many chips already in the pot.

the title of your thread is retarded. if you want to simply whine about a bad beat then post in BBV

I hate shoving here. It basically turns your hand face up. Against the opponents you describe i prefer raising & calling a shove/shoving lots of flops.

I'd rather call here than shove, but I don't think I'd do either.

Besides the fact, that the reads on MP1 and MP2 are completely worthless () I would make it 4k to go. If Villain1 pushes I instacall, if Villain1 calls and Villain2 pushes, IŽll fold.

I'd definitely rather call than shove here, yeah. Considering you hit a set 1/11 times... plus there's times where you end up with an overpair... definitely make it better than pushing.

Raising to 3600 is fine too, though you're obviously in quite the predicament if, say, a king flops and you're bet into.

making it 4k then folding would be pretty bad imo

Yes, youŽre right, I misread the stacks. So raise 4k + call a shove.

This deep, i prefer a call, and get it in if I flop an overpair/set. If you had 9k or even 10k, I'd just reraise/call a shove pf.

Point taken about the title of the post. I agree with what you posted however, and in the actual hand I shoved. With the exact same reasoning you gave. Increase my stack by 20%, and the hand is so retarded to play OOP with overcards flopping so often.

I discussed this hand for a bit with a friend however and he said that with these stacks, despite the fact that shoving in my spot looks like an obvious squeeze, I doubt I get called very often by a worse hand (smaller pair). So basically I'm folding out all worse hands (except ak obv) to snatch the 20% of my stack in the pot. Is the 20% worth it?

Also, if its true that when we shove and get called its gonna be by a hand > JJ, that makes our opponents calling range very very narrow and hes folding out all but the top say 5% of his hands. If thats the case then the fact we have JJ doesn't really matter and it would make sense to make this play with a much much weaker hand ie 67s. Am I way off here? Thoughts? ty
